Had some really good suggestions today in class, I know not everyone made it so i thought you would like updating on some of the things we discussed.
For the shoot we think it would be better to use the studio rather than an outside location as that way we can create our own backdrops.
After discussing some of our ideas with Louise she suggested using a projector and we all agreed it was a good idea. I will have a play around with different ideas for what we can use.. And obviously everyone else should think of some ideas too.
We also discussed the possibility of using origami? Maybe as part of the clothing (for example, a collar or accessory?).
We all agreed on keeping the makeup quite traditional- so white face, red lips etc.
I also suggested the possibilitie of putting a modern twist on the shoot - so maybe move away from the idea of using traditional geisha clothing? I think a few people liked this idea but obviously it's a group decision!?
Also because 'Geisha' is a life you can't break away from we can possibly think of some ideas to represent that.
I think I have covered everything we discussed today but if I have missed something then please add comments.

x hey yeh all that sounds gd melissa i think studio is deffo a gd idea and using as projector i have loads of ideas written down for props that can be used for the photo shoot, i was thinking we could experiement with aving a drap of light fabric that is slightly see through having the model behind the drapping material in a pose and catching the image of her shadow if u understand what i mean so basically in that shot it will b focussing more on pose than make-up ect ... also another idea is a mirror image idea where we take 2 photos but the image reflected in the mirroe is different to what the reflection is for example we take a picture of the model in normal clothes but when she looks in the mirror the other image will be her in geisha styked make-up and clothes as in the film she saw her self wanting to be a geisha so much do you get what i mean comment on what you think girls paige there are more ideas will see you at the next meeting . x
